Geoff McLaughlin - Ireland
Hi all, I'm Geoff McLaughlin, an all round fishing nut and do a bit of fly tying now and then. I was born in a small village outside Bushmills overlooking the beautiful river Bush..! Then scene was already set out for me. I first grasped a fly rod at age 8, and never really left it down since, I got my first fly tying kit in 1986 aged 12, and after a few years chasing big brownies, I landed my first salmon on my own fly aged 15. Now many years later, nothing much has changed, (except the size of the trout) only the names of rivers and destinations, having fished extensively in British Columbia for many years now, and been lucky enough to have fished in Iceland where I landed 19 salmon on my simplest of flies in one morning. I love to tie and experiment with new materials and new techniques. Now it's time to get back to the vice and spin up something new. Call and say hello at the Irish International Fly Fair...!!!
