Ken Lea

I was born & bred in Barnoldswick a small town in Yorkshire close to the Yorkshire Dales.

Shortly after I retired we moved to Silloth on Solway in north Cumbria where we have lived since 2005.

I started tying flies in 1988 at the age of 47 a late starter!!

I joined the Flydressers Guild at a newly formed branch in Barnoldswick the same year and served as secretary for several years.

Although I live here in Cumbria I am still a Member of Pendle Branch in Barnoldswick. Flydressers Guild

I enjoy going to demo's and admire the many tyers who give their time to show their tying skills to others ( we learn a lot from them )
I have had more time to enjoy our hobby since I retired 15 years ago.

Now aged 75 I get a lot of pleasure from my hobby and enjoy all aspects of tying flies.

I hope I can pass on my enthusiasm at The Irish International Fly Fair in Killyleagh 2016.

This is my first time at this event or indeed any event of this type and look forward to meeting you all at the show!!
